“I have been in the medical field since 1978. I used to work at a large teaching medical center in New Jersey as a Research Assistant on a Genetic study and later on as a Site Coordinator for the cancer center where I randomized several thousand patients to cancer clinical trials. I remember having many conversations about the benefits they were getting from cannabis. I started doing a lot of research on it, from a medical standpoint. I wanted to make a positive impact towards cannabis advocacy and research. In 2015, I started seeing the market opening up in New Jersey in the Cannabis space. I was very interested and started attending lots of cannabis meetings, conferences etc. Eventually I founded a cannabis research company. I have not looked back since.

Prior to the pandemic, I attended hundreds of cannabis conferences and networking events, from Pennsylvania to New York, and Citrin Cooperman was always there – right from the beginning.

I gave Harry Carpenter the name early on as; “The Godfather of Cannabis-Accounting.” He is always available – he is accessible, and he is generous with his time and advice. We have a good relationship and I know that I can always reach him if I need advice.

Harry would show up to all the events and he was friendly, curious, and provided great advice. He is definitely OG when it comes to the cannabis space. I got to know him before I started my company, and he became a friend.
