Wilfredo Fernandez Receives the Robert M. Marcalus Legacy Award
Congratulations to Citrin Cooperman Partner and Dealership Industry Practice Co-Leader Wilfredo Fernandez for being honored at the St. Joseph's Health Foundation Gala and receiving the Robert M. Marcalus Legacy Award for his many years of service to the organization.
Will has been involved with St. Joseph's Health Network for over twenty years, serving initially as vice chair and treasurer for the governance board for the hospital from 1998-2018. In 2020 he became board chair, lending his skills and expertise to the hospital throughout the tumultuous COVID-19 pandemic, and supported the search for a new president and CEO after the former president's retirement. Will's four-year term ended in 2024, but he was asked to stay an additional year to support the new president. After his term as chair expires, he plans to return to his position as treasurer.
Will's commitment to St. Joseph's Health Network reflects the values we uphold at Citrin Cooperman. We believe that our individual and collective impact extends beyond our professional obligations and must include our local communities to drive positive change. Will's leadership during critical moments, like the pandemic and executive transitions, exemplifies the civic engagement and strategic guidance that defines our firm's culture.
Congratulations to Will on an incredible achievement and well-deserved recognition!
