Laura is a partner in Citrin Cooperman’s Private Client Services Practice, bringing over 30 years of expertise to clients. She specializes in addressing the unique accounting and tax needs of individuals and their privately held businesses. With a keen focus on personalized guidance, Laura plays a crucial role in providing insight to clients on effective tax strategies and navigating intricate tax matters. Her wealth of knowledge spans clients in diverse sectors, including education, healthcare, real estate development, pharmaceuticals, and entrepreneurial ventures. Committed to building lasting relationships, Laura is dedicated to supporting clients through every aspect of their tax journey.

Previously, Laura was a partner at LitmanGerson Associates, LLP (LGA), which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2026. As one of the pioneering female partners at LGA, she has been a leader in championing inclusivity and providing steadfast support to women in public accounting, especially those aspiring to leadership roles. Having been a mother to four active boys, Laura understands firsthand the importance and need for flexible schedules without jeopardizing a career path.

Affiliations

Laura carries over her passion for the accounting profession by serving on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MassCPAs) and is a past chair of the board. Laura focuses on mentoring young professionals, speaking to students about the rewarding aspects of a career in accounting, and aiding small firm members. She is an active member of several of their committees, including the Women’s Committee, the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee, and the Tax Advocacy Working Group, which provides input and feedback to members of Beacon Hill, Massachusetts’ state government, on tax proposals and legislation.

Additionally, Laura is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Council, the governing body of the national society for public accountants. In this role, Laura advocates for the accounting profession at the national level.

Laura is an active member of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Brookline, MA, and chairs their Pastoral Finance Committee.

Laura lives in Brookline, MA, with her husband and is embracing life as an empty nester, looking forward to pursing hobbies like hiking, biking, and rekindling her interests in French and piano playing.
