David is a director in Citrin Cooperman's Audit and Attest Practice with over two decades of experience helping clients on complex accounting and financial reporting matters. He works closely with CFOs, executive teams, and private equity sponsors to address technical accounting challenges and support strategic transactions. David has extensive experience supporting both public and private companies, ranging from Fortune 250 enterprises to private equity portfolio companies.

David’s areas of focus include technical accounting, transaction readiness, and capital markets engagements. He offers guidance to clients on revenue recognition, business combinations, leases, consolidations, SEC reporting, and private company financial reporting. His experience includes leading IPO readiness, de-SPAC transactions, and post-close accounting integration efforts, as well as supporting buy-side and sell-side diligence. David has deep sector expertise in software and technology, manufacturing, aerospace and defense, healthcare, and biosciences, and is recognized for building audit-ready, scalable finance infrastructures.

Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, David held leadership roles at the Big Four as well as middle-market firms. At Ernst & Young, he served as a senior manager in both technical accounting advisory services and financial accounting advisory services, where he supported hundreds of transactions annually and led complex acquisition and capital markets engagements. Earlier in his career, David worked in capital markets advisory and assurance roles, developing a strong foundation in SEC reporting and financial statement audits.
