Ellen Kera is a partner and the practice co-leader of the firm's Automotive Dealership Practice with over 20 years of experience in public accounting. Her main focus is in the automotive industry, where she delivers value by pairing her expertise with specialized services, including consulting on complex tax matters and helping clients implement best practices.

Ellen specializes in identifying areas within auto dealerships with the potential to increase profit centers, while ensuring their compliance-related state and federal tax requirements are being met.  She also advises her auto dealership clients on mergers and acquisitions; tax planning as it relates to the sale and acquisition of the dealership; preparation of dealership franchise applications and proformas; and financial projections and forecasts. Ellen also provides tax planning for high net worth individuals.

Ellen was a principal at Kera & Company, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2017. Prior to establishing Kera & Company, Ellen owned and operated a successful manufacturing and sales company. This hands on experience has given Ellen extraordinary insight into the real world issues facing today’s businesses. This knowledge allows Ellen to provide common sense solutions to complex business issues while leveraging the latest tax and management decision tools.
