Joseph is a partner in Citrin Cooperman’s Commercial Tax Services Practice.
Joseph has over 26 years of extensive experience guiding multi‑generational families, their businesses, family offices, trusts, and estates in minimizing both income and estate tax burdens. Joseph is a valued business insight resource to real estate developers, landholders, investment funds, and other real estate investors. In addition, he has vast experience in various industries including hospitality, manufacturing and distribution, and professional service companies. His expertise spans domestic and international tax structures as well as inbound and outbound tax planning and compliance. Equally skilled in U.S. and cross‑border matters, he frequently collaborates with international tax professionals on voluntary disclosures, pre‑immigration planning, offshore trust issues.
Previously, Joseph served as the managing partner of tax services at Sharff, Wittmer, Kurtz, Jackson & Diaz (SWKJD), which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2026. In that role, he led a team of seasoned tax professionals serving domestic and international clients across a wide range of industries.
