Joseph Sabetta is an audit director in Citrin Cooperman’s Providence, Rhode Island office with more than 30 years of experience. Previously, Joe was an audit principal at LGC+D, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2016. At LGC+D, Joe was a lecturer for the firm’s education program in the areas of accounting and auditing, real estate, and governmental program compliance.

Joe works with privately-owned closely held companies, and not-for-profit and government entities. He currently directs accounting services, auditing, and business consulting for privately held clients in the fields of manufacturing and distribution, real estate services, and not-for-profit activities.

Joe’s areas of specialized expertise include affordable housing initiatives, attest services in accordance with Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Rhode Island Housing (RIH), Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency and Connecticut Housing Finance Authority regulations, HUD and RIH cost certifications, tax certifications for tax-exempt bond financing, Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) projects, and LIHTC investment projection models. Other areas of concentration include attest services for manufacturing, distribution, and service companies and serving the needs of clients in commercial industries. Joe’s favorite aspect of his career is interacting with various people at different companies; he enjoys the satisfaction of helping people and businesses alleviate or solve their problems.
