Experience

Leon M. Reimer has over four decades of experience as a Certified Public Accountant specializing in tax planning, tax appeals, and litigation support. He has substantial expertise in supervising high-level technical tax research, tax planning projects for businesses and high net worth individuals, and representing clients at federal and state tax examinations, tax appeals, and tax settlement conferences.

Leon has represented numerous clients in the federal and state Offer in Compromise programs and has filed in excess of 100 federal and state Voluntary Disclosures. He has been a member of the professional team on many of the nation’s most significant, high-profile criminal tax cases.

Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Leon spent 44 years as Managing Partner of Leon M. Reimer & Co., P.C., a mid-sized, full-service firm specializing in tax planning and litigation support services. He began his career on the professional staff at a Big Six accounting firm.
