Michael DeVito is a senior advisor at Citrin Cooperman Advisors, LLC.  With over 40 years of experience in public accounting, he has a deep understanding of the industry and leverages that knowledge to drive the Firm’s geographic operations, human resources, talent acquisition, and learning and development functions. In addition, Mike also leads the diligence processes and integration as part of the Firm’s inorganic growth strategy as we expand our footprint in geography, service, and industry.  He has held various senior leadership roles throughout his professional career including Regional Managing Partner of Citrin Cooperman’s West Coast, NYC Metro and India offices, co-managing partner of Citrin Cooperman’s New York City office, Leader of the Firm’s Real Estate industry, and Leader of the Firm’s Business Management and Family Office practice.

In addition to Mike’s multiple leadership roles, he has a long history serving both public and private clients across a wide array of industries including real estate, retail, manufacturing and distribution, restaurants, and entertainment.

As an experienced accounting and attest partner with strong tax knowledge, Mike’s background has positioned him as a true trusted advisor that can recognize client needs, identify opportunities, and understand the overall impact the firm’s integrated services can have on the long-term goals of our clients. He has consulted with many clients on mergers and acquisitions, technical accounting and audit matters, operational enhancements including development of internal controls, and general business matters.
