Experience
Michael is a partner in Citrin Cooperman’s Audit and Attest Practice based out of the Middleburg Heights, OH office. He has over three decades of experience in auditing and accounting for closely held businesses and not-for-profit organizations.
Michael specializes in audit, accounting, and consulting services of closely held businesses in the long-term care industry. These include skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, hospice, real estate, and drug rehabilitation entities. In addition, his clients include not-for-profit entities, ICF/DD facilities, and membership organizations. He has significant experience with audits performed under HUD, ERISA, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), and the Uniform Guidance. Previously, Michael was a principal at HW&Co., which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2025. At HW&Co., he was the director of the firm’s audit department.

Outside the Office
Michael lives in Brunswick, Ohio, with his wife and three children. Most of his free time is spent with his family. He enjoys traveling and watching the Cleveland sports teams.
