Mike is a director at Citrin Cooperman and is based out of the firm’s Owings Mills, MD office. He has over 15 years of comprehensive experience, encompassing internal audit, environmental, social, and governance (ESG), risk management, compliance, and fraud investigation.
Throughout his career, Mike has predominantly operated within internal audit and consulting, offering specialized guidance to clients seeking to establish or enhance their internal audit, ESG, and Sarbanes–Oxley Act (SOX) compliance frameworks. He aids in the inception of organizations’ SOX programs from scratch while optimizing existing ones and evaluates companies' ESG functions to ensure their alignment with evolving regulatory landscapes. Mike’s expertise lies in providing thought leadership and strategic support, enabling clients to navigate the complexities of these critical areas effectively. His experience covers diverse industries, including financial services, hospitality, manufacturing, technology, and healthcare.
Previously, Mike was a senior manager in the Compliance and Risk Management Practice and co-leader of the ESG Advisory Practice at Clearview Group, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2024.
