Steve is a director in Citrin Cooperman’s Commercial Tax Services Practice and an experienced professional with over 10 years of experience in taxation and accounting in the financial services industry.

Steve specializes in hedge fund and private equity/venture capital taxation and compliance. With a deep understanding of tax concepts and regulations, Steve imparts deep knowledge to his clients on complex tax issues, entity structures, and regulatory requirements.

Throughout his career, Steve has worked on a variety of alternative investment vehicles – ranging from start-up funds to multibillion-dollar investment businesses – helping navigate company allocations, investor reporting, and fund compliance. Steve also collaborates closely with private equity, venture capital, and digital asset clients, ensuring tax efficiency and compliance across the investment lifecycle.

Steve is recognized for delivering practical solutions, clear communication, and proactive planning to help financial services clients achieve their strategic and operational goals.

Prior to his role at Citrin Cooperman, Steven was a tax manager at a national advisory, tax, and assurance firm and began his career at a Big Four firm.
