He has also developed a deep understanding of not-for-profit organizations, particularly in managing employee benefit plans and offering targeted solutions that ensure compliance and efficiency.

Vasant immigrated to the United States from India in 1985 and worked with a small firm and two regional firms in New York City, NY and Boston, MA. Following those roles, he served as firm director and was appointed as a principal at a New England-based CPA and advisory services firm. Most recently, Vasant was a partner at LitmanGerson Associates, LLP (LGA), which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2026.
