EXPERIENCE
Zohaib is a partner in Citrin Cooperman’s Assurance Services Practice with more than 17 years of experience helping private companies and SEC registrants across technology, renewable energy, life sciences, real estate, consumer, and industrial sectors.
Zohaib has led financial statement audits, accounting advisory engagements, and capital markets transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAS, PCAOB standards, and SEC requirements. Recognized as a business insight resource, he has successfully enhanced engagement value for clients while consistently delivering high-quality audit services. His commitment to excellence has been recognized through an audit quality award for sustained performance in audit execution. Zohaib possesses deep technical expertise in complex accounting areas, including revenue recognition, debt and equity instruments, stock-based compensation, business combinations, and nonrecurring transactions. He is known for applying a pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach to help clients navigate challenging accounting and reporting matters.
Previously, Zohaib was an audit managing director for an accounting firm where he helped professionals and clients on IPOs, SPACs, cross-border SEC filings, and regulatory compliance. Earlier in his career, he led assurance engagements at a Big Four accounting firm for multinational public and private companies.
