COVID-19 UPDATE: Office Closures
As we continue to push through the uncertainty surrounding what is becoming the “newer normal” with COVID-19, our thoughts remain with you, your families, and friends. Citrin Cooperman remains committed to ensuring we do our part to get our employees and you through this as seamlessly as possible. Our management team has worked to develop a unified plan for our firm that protects the safety and health of our employees and their families, ensures we continue to service our clients, and allows Citrin Cooperman to continue to be responsible to each of our communities.
In the short term, we believe there is a risk for us to have large groups of our people together. Large groups can accelerate the transmission of the virus. We also do not want to wait to develop our strategy until after someone at Citrin Cooperman tests positive. Instead, we are going to be proactive with our plan. Effective no later than end of day Monday, March 16 we are enacting a remote work from home policy across our firm which will run through Friday, March 27. We may extend that date if we feel it is prudent to do so.
Citrin Cooperman will remain fully operational during the duration of this time. Our IT team and leadership have put the firm through a variety of stress tests and scenarios. We have the proper technology and support resources in place to allow us to maintain steady service to all of our clients as long as is needed to be able to avoid any disruption in work. Citrin Cooperman is prepared for our entire workforce to successfully meet all of your needs. We have improved our infrastructure and we have technology that enables anytime, anywhere access for all of our teams. We would encourage you to send any documents electronically to help protect you from any risk. You can send such files by clicking the “Click Here” on your Citrin Cooperman representative’s email signature which will allow you to access to Sharefile to upload your documents. We are also sorting mail daily throughout the next two weeks, so if you prefer to send information to us via FedEx or mail, please do so.
The Coronavirus outbreak is disrupting business-as-usual activity for companies around the world. Our highest priority is the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, clients, vendors, and those we come in contact with. For further guidance, please contact the CDC and your local county Department of Health. You should also feel free to reach out to your Citrin Cooperman partner with any questions or concerns.
Hopefully we will all be back to normal with minimal inconvenience soon.
We hope that you remain safe and healthy. We will keep you updated as the situation progresses.
Sincerely,
Your friends at Citrin Cooperman
