Immigration Compliance and Social Security No Match Letters Are Back! What Can You Do?

Tackling Compliance and HR Issues

Social Security No Match Letters Are Back!

Since March 2019, the Social Security Administration (SSA) has sent more than 570,000 no-match letters to businesses identified as having a name and Social Security Number combination submitted on a Form W-2 that do not match SSA records.

Citrin Cooperman and Fox Rothschild recently co-hosted a webinar discussing what to do in the event that you receive a no match letter; the numerous HR issues that need to be addressed as a result; what the enforcement actions and penalties are for not responding to a no match letter; illegal and inappropriate actions following the receipt of a no-match letter; and, tips to properly plan for and stay in compliance.
