Alex Spieker is a director within Citrin Cooperman’s Audit and Attest Practice. Alex brings over 10 years of experience in public accounting, serving primarily the real estate and not-for-profit industries.
Alex is a CPA, providing a wide variety of accounting, audit, and consulting services to private clients in several industries, including the real estate industry and not-for-profit groups. Alex specializes in the affordable housing segment, covering Housing and Urban Development (HUD) audits and Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) submissions for several low-income housing projects regulated by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. Alex’s expertise also focuses on planning, coordinating, supervising, and reviewing Single Audits under the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)’s Uniform Guidance for not-for-profit organizations receiving federal awards.
Alex was previously a senior manager at Berdon LLP, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2023. Prior to that, he worked at Gilmore Jasion Mahler, LTD as a consulting and assurance senior manager.
