Bisi is the Partner-in-Charge of the Office of Independence which is part of the firm’s risk management function. Bisi is responsible for leading Citrin Cooperman’s Independence Group, which is dedicated to ensuring that the firm and its professionals adhere to robust independence and ethics requirements when providing professional services. Bisi is committed to maintaining the trust of her clients and regulators and welcomes each day as a new chance to make an impact and an opportunity to continuously grow as a leader.

Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Bisi Tairu was an Executive Director at KPMG, LLP, where she led a multi-faceted team focused on providing independence guidance and technical consultations to client service teams, with core objectives of building trust with stakeholders and delivering high-quality audits to clients.

Previously, she was a Senior Manager at EY LLP, where she managed and performed audit services for top global asset management clients. Bisi’s diversified experience spans strategic, operational, and tactical risk & accounting subject matters. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rutgers University with a major in Accounting and minor in Economics. Bisi is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in both New Jersey and New York. She is also a member of the AICPA.
