Cecilia Kao is a director in Citrin Cooperman’s Audit and Attest Practice based out of the New York City office. Cecilia is a skilled professional with over 13 years of accounting and tax experience, servicing clients primarily in the real estate industry.

Cecilia works with privately-owned and closely-held companies in the residential and commercial real estate sectors, frequently interacting with owners, operators, and developers to help achieve their business objectives. Her experience encompasses areas that include preparing and reviewing GAAP and income tax basis audited, reviewed, and compiled financial statements, reviewing multi-state partnership and corporate tax returns, conducting agreed upon procedures and certiorari filings, and reviewing and analyzing partnership agreements, commercial leases, financing agreements, and loan covenants. She is successful in building and maintaining close relationships with her clients by providing timely feedback and remaining closely involved in all aspects of the engagement.

Cecilia was previously a senior manager at Berdon LLP, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2023.
