Experience

Corey is a managing director at Citrin Cooperman and is based out of the firm’s Owings Mills, MD office. He brings more than 19 years of combined external audit, internal audit, and consulting experience, specializing in providing thought leadership and directional support to clients in pursuit of standing up their Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance and internal audit functions.

Corey has successfully helped clients build, optimize, and maintain their internal control and risk management programs, resulting in efficient and scalable solutions. He has extensive experience within the financial services industry, having served investment management organizations, real estate investment operations, banks, insurance providers, and mortgage origination and servicing companies.

Previously, Corey was a principal in the Compliance and Risk Management Practice of Clearview Group, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2024. In this role, he was also co-leader of the firm’s enterprise risk, internal audit, and SOX compliance services.
