David is a partner in Citrin Cooperman’s tax practice. David is an experienced professional with over 35 years of experience in public accounting.
David is a CPA, and his focus and specialization has enabled him to provide cradle-to-grave tax planning compliance services for his clients in both personal and business matters. David has expertise in the areas of estate and gift planning and has held the designation of Certified Specialist in Estate Planning through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 2001. He also has extensive knowledge in corporate, individual, partnership and fiduciary taxation.
Prior to Citrin Cooperman, David was a partner at Coleman Huntoon & Brown PLLC.

Community Involvement
David is involved with various community organizations and is a board member and past treasurer of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation. He has also served in various other positions for local not-for-profit organizations including Past President and Treasurer of the Kiwanis Club of Orange County.
Outside the Office
David lives in Chapel Hill in a home divided by the battle of the blues. He and his son carry the Duke banner while his wonderful wife and two lovely daughters support the Carolina blue of UNC. When he’s not supporting the Hurricanes’ yearly rally for the cup, David is a golf enthusiast and enjoys smoking a good brisket or ribs over a wood fire.
