Experience
Heather is a director at Citrin Cooperman and is based out of the firm’s Owings Mills, MD office. She specializes in diversified risk, successfully leading governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) and related enterprise risk management projects that deliver valuable and reliable solutions.
Heather has an established proficiency in evaluating processes and controls for enterprise, strategic, and operational risks with over 20 years of experience in leadership roles designing, enhancing, and implementing programs within GRC frameworks. Heather has provided risk management consulting and advisory services for some of the largest financial institutions in the United States, fintech companies, retail organizations, and automotive companies.
Previously, Heather was a financial services solutions lead at Clearview Group, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2024. Before that, some of Heather’s roles include the chief audit executive of a large specialty mutual insurance company and the assistant corporate controller for a newly public company with $5 billion in revenue. In these respective positions, she had overall responsibility for the internal audit function and designed and implemented Sarbanes–Oxley (SOX) financial controls for the enterprise’s accounting function.

Community Involvement
Heather is involved with the Women’s Ministry Council at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She also serves as a troop leader for the Northwestern Great Lakes Girl Scouts Troop 4184.
Outside the Office
When Heather is not working, she loves to be outdoors with her husband and two children. They love to snow ski, water ski, boat, and travel together every chance they get.
