Ian Alberts is a partner who serves as the co-leader of the Long Island offices’ Assurance Practice. Ian has over 20 years of experience providing assurance, attestation, tax, and advisory services for closely held businesses and their owners. His clients span the wholesale distribution, real estate, warehousing/logistic services, and antique dealer industries.

Ian provides a range of services in the areas of compliance and other accounting-related matters to his middle market business clients. He also works with his clients to evaluate operations and internal controls to identify areas of risk and develop ways to strengthen controls and increase efficiencies. Ian has been successful in establishing and cultivating close relationships with his clients by providing excellent service.

In addition to Ian’s client service, he is an integration leader, which supports the firm’s inorganic growth strategy as it expands its presence in geographies, services, and industries.

Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Ian was an audit partner at Berdon LLP, which joined the firm in 2023.
