Experience
Robert Thee is a tax director and works extensively in consulting and compliance for closely-held businesses and their owners. He has serviced clients involved in a broad range of industries that includes wholesale, manufacturing, retail, health care, real estate, and financial service companies, as well as high net-worth individuals, estates, and trusts.
Robert works collaboratively with clients to analyze proposed transactions and business structures to arrive at strategies aimed at maximizing federal and state income and estate tax savings without sacrificing the clients’ best economic interests. He also represents taxpayers before the IRS and state/local tax authorities.
Previously, Robert was a tax director at Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C., which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2023.

Robert has lectured frequently for the Foundation for Accounting Education and has written articles for The CPA Journal. He has been actively involved on several of the State Society’s tax committees and currently serves on the Partnerships and LLC’s Committee, where he presents the federal and state tax update at their monthly meetings. In addition, he has been heavily involved in administering, creating, and presenting various tax training and continuing education programs for several CPA firms.

Robert is an avid baseball, football and hockey fan and roots for the N.Y. Yankees, Jets and Rangers. He enjoys word games and playing the guitar.
